Where did the top soil go?

Everyday, we grow plants.
And, they are grown in a thing we call topsoil.
Under regular conditions(not putting any there yourself), did you know it takes about 1000 years to accumulate 1 inch of topsoil? But, average depth is from 6-9" of topsoil depth. This would give about maybe 10,000 years of erosion, if you stretched the math a bit. A question that arises from this than, is : If the earth is billions of years old, where is all the top soil?

Maybe, it washed into the ocean, turning into sediment? But, if that were true, there would be miles of sediment on the ocean's floor. Pray tell you, what do we find? We find that the average sedimentary depth, is only .56 of a mile deep. Not near the amount that you would expect if the earth was billions of years old. A question to consider in deed.

Christian Fasting

Listen to my rant, and hear my cry.
I don't know why people need a goal to fast.
A Christian fast isn't to get God to do something for you.
In fact, If you fast, it's to prepare yourself to do something for God.
This, coupled with prayer, is a powerful and amazing tool.
Just look at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
When he fasted, it never mentions he was asking God for something.
Instead, it shows that He was released for ministry after his period of fasting.
It continued throughout his life, and he made sacrifice upon sacrifice.
If we do a fast to get something, this is anti-biblical in my eyes. Can someone show me scripture where it is not?

In the hubub of the world, we are inundated with things to believe and understand. What is there to believe? Who do you believe? Why believe it? This author is confident that Christianity is the true religion of the world, and that there is only one way to heaven. And, that way is through God's son, Jesus.
