Where did the top soil go?
And, they are grown in a thing we call topsoil.
Under regular conditions(not putting any there yourself), did you know it takes about 1000 years to accumulate 1 inch of topsoil? But, average depth is from 6-9" of topsoil depth. This would give about maybe 10,000 years of erosion, if you stretched the math a bit. A question that arises from this than, is : If the earth is billions of years old, where is all the top soil?
Maybe, it washed into the ocean, turning into sediment? But, if that were true, there would be miles of sediment on the ocean's floor. Pray tell you, what do we find? We find that the average sedimentary depth, is only .56 of a mile deep. Not near the amount that you would expect if the earth was billions of years old. A question to consider in deed.
